The Bridging the Gap program is a collaboration between SIDT and Australian Foundation for the Asia Pacific (AFAP).AFAP_WEB_AOP

 

The program uses the VSP approach as its basis to ‘Bridge the Gap’ between people, policy makers and practitioners for positive change.

 

As part of the Bridging the Gap project, AFAP and SIDT have provided training workshops to build local people’s skills in governance, leadership and community planning.

A number of communities identified improved sanitation as a priority, so the building of toilets has been a part of the work undertaken.

 

Each village has created a community plan, which outlines their aspirations for improved infrastructure such as water and sanitation and are able to focus their efforts as a community
